About......

Norman George Cowans is a former English cricketer who played in 19 Tests and 23 ODIs from 1982 to 1985.

Norman was born in Jamaica but moved to England with his family when he was eleven. He played County Cricket for Middlesex and then Hampshire, winning three Championships and four limited-overs titles (all with Middlesex) in his fifteen seasons. He made an immediate impact on the international scene - taking a match-winning 6 for 77 for England in the second innings of the Melbourne Test on the 1982-83 Ashes tour.

Norman was nicknamed 'Flash' as a result of being able to bowl a cricket ball at almost 100mph.

Currently a regular commentator on Sky News and BBC 24, Norman prides himself on the personal service and attention to detail provided by Norman Cowans Sports Promotions and can often be seen at the events adding the final touches.
